PATH TO KNIGHTHOOD

Boys are introduced to KOR as a Page Recruit (ages 10-12) or join as a Page (ages 13+). The page program allows boys the opportunity to enter the ranks as a Squire once they reach adulthood. If a boy reaches adulthood without completing the page program they will be acknowledged as a man and ranked as a Man-At-Arms.

The initial ranks for men include Man-At-Arms and Squire. The rank of Squire must be earned, through completion of the page program or through recognition and promotion from Man-At-Arms. The goal for every man is to achieve knighthood after successful completion of the squire program.

A man may continue as a Man-At-Arms if they do not complete the squire program.

The command level of the Knighthood provides leadership, structure and guidance. Knights in this category are called to demonstrate exceptional leadership as an example for other men. Knight Lieutenants are given the authority to represent the Knighthood as a table leader. Knighthood Command consists of all senior command ranks and provides the organizational direction as required. Careful time, prayer and consideration must be considered for such roles. Knight Grand Commander is the highest rank of the Knighthood and is reserved for High Council Members.

The character and qualities expected of every Page, Man-At-Arms, Squire and Knight are outlined within four categories which include faith, inward character, relationships, deeds and actions. Every member must live every day as though their character will be defined by the choices and actions of that very moment. This is the high calling of authentic manhood and by identifying the expectations, we hold one another to the challenge to live up to that high calling together.
